This Privacy Policy explains how JamEMR [legal entity name pending] (“JamEMR,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through our public website, jamemr.com (the “Site”), and general business communications.
This policy covers the Site only. Use of the JamEMR clinical product is governed by separate written agreements, including pilot agreements, service agreements, and Business Associate Agreements with covered entities. Nothing on the Site collects or processes patient data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information:
Information you provide voluntarily. When you submit a contact or demo request form, we receive the information you enter: your name, work email address, organization, and message. Providing this information is optional, but we need it to respond to your inquiry.
Aggregate site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. It provides us with aggregate information about how the Site is used (such as page views and referrers). It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not involve advertising technology. We do not build individual visitor profiles.
We do not collect any other personal information through the Site.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and demo requests;
- Communicate with you about JamEMR products, pilots, and services you have expressed interest in;
- Understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve it;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on, in plain terms:
- Your consent — you choose to submit a form to us;
- Legitimate interests — responding to business inquiries, operating and improving the Site, and protecting it from abuse;
- Legal obligations — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.
4. We Do Not Sell Personal Data
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no ad tech on the Site.
5. Do Not Submit Patient Information
The Site’s forms are for general business inquiries only. Do not submit patient information or protected health information (PHI) through the Site. If we receive PHI unsolicited through a website form or general email, we will delete it promptly.
6. How We Share Information
We share information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use providers for website hosting, analytics, and business email, and form submissions arrive to us by email through our business email provider. These providers process information on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of JamEMR or others.
- Business changes. If JamEMR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, inquiry information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
7. Data Retention
We keep the information you submit only as long as needed for your inquiry or our business relationship with you or your organization, and thereafter only as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
8. International Visitors
The Site may be accessed from anywhere in the world. If you contact us, your information may be processed in the jurisdiction in which JamEMR is established, to be finalized in legal review ([Jurisdiction — pending legal review]), and in the jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By submitting information, you understand it may be processed outside your own country, subject to applicable law.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These rights exist under laws such as the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act, among others; we honor such requests as a matter of practice regardless of where you live.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@jamemr.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not describe ourselves as certified under any privacy framework; this section describes rights and practices, not certifications.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited nature of the information the Site collects. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact privacy@jamemr.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
