JamEMR

Platform Overview

What JamEMR is, the modules it includes today, and who it is built for. An AI-native EMR in pilot with outpatient clinics and small-to-mid-sized practices.

What JamEMR is

JamEMR is an electronic medical record built AI-native from the start: the clinical AI capabilities are part of the core system, not bolted on. The design goal is simple — clinicians spend their attention on patients, and the system carries the documentation and administrative weight.

JamEMR is currently in pilot. The modules below exist and are in use with pilot practices; we describe them as they are, not as a roadmap.

Modules at a glance

ModuleWhat it does
ChartingThe patient chart: problems, medications, allergies, history, and clinical notes in one structured record.
EncountersVisit-centered workflow — open an encounter, document it, and sign it, with the AI drafting alongside you.
SchedulingAppointment scheduling for clinicians and front-desk staff, connected directly to encounters and charts.
Ambient documentationWith patient consent, the encounter conversation is captured, transcribed, and structured into a draft SOAP note for clinician review. See Ambient Documentation.
Document intelligenceInbound documents — referrals, labs, records from prior EMRs — are read, classified, and mapped into the patient’s structured chart.
Clinical AI assistantAn in-context assistant that helps clinicians work with the chart: summarizing, drafting, and answering questions grounded in the patient’s record.

The AI stance

Two principles run through every module:

  • Clinician in the loop, always. AI output is a draft or a suggestion. Nothing enters the permanent record without clinician review and signature.
  • Local processing for PHI. AI inference on patient data runs on dedicated hardware inside the practice’s deployment environment — patient data is not sent to third-party consumer AI services. See the Security Model and Architecture pages.

Who it is for

JamEMR is built first for outpatient clinics and small-to-mid-sized practices — settings where documentation burden is high and IT staff is thin. Larger and hospital-based organizations are not the current focus, though we are glad to talk about timing.

Pilot status, plainly

JamEMR is not generally available. Deployments happen through a guided pilot program with a scoping call, a pilot agreement, and a BAA before any PHI is involved. See Getting Started for the full path, or contact sales@jamemr.com.
